Congratulations to Dr. Sushree S. Sahoo, Alumni School of Biotechnology, KIIT for her publication in Nature Medicine, entitled ” Clinical evolution, genetic landscape and trajectories of clonal hematopoiesis in SAMD9/SAMD9L syndromes”. Dr. Sahoo is currently pursuing her postdoctoral research at  St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis Metropolitan Area, USA.
Team Bio-Caspol (Ishanee Mazumder, Chandrashish Roy, Madhuja Raha, Kumarjit Das) students of School of Biotechnology, KIIT University for bagging second prize in Virtual Entrepreneurship fest 2.0: A National Business Plan Competition, powered by Supreme Incubator. It was a three days long event consisting of idea generation, teaming up, brainstorming, developing business plans, and pitching.

Dr. Imran Khan, student (Ph.D.) Biotechnology @ School of Biotechnology, KIIT for getting a post-doctoral research fellowship at Department of Surgery Division, Columbia University Irving Medical Center, New York, USA.
Ms. Swagatika Dash (2015-2020), Student B.Tech-M. Tech Dual degree, Biotechnology @ School of Biotechnology, KIIT for getting a PhD.  in Microbial Ecology at University of Osnabrück, Germany.
Mr. Sohom Mookherjee, Student B.Tech-M. Tech Dual degree, Biotechnology @ School of Biotechnology, KIIT for getting a Ph.D at Department of Nutrition and Integrative Physiology, University of Utah, USA.
Ms. Ratula Ray, Student B.Tech-M. Tech Dual degree, Biotechnology @ School of Biotechnology, KIIT for getting a Ph.D at Technical University of Munich (TUM), Germany. She will be working on “Studying Plant Morphogenesis using computational modeling”.
Ms. Swarnali Das, student B. Tech-M.Tech Dual Degree, Biotechnology for getting a PhD at IIT Kanpur.
Arijit Bhattacharya for weaving magic on his Sitar and winning the hearts of many people. He is hardworking and sincere in his studies as well as his music. Recently, he won first place in the instrumental category in the ‘Sound of Music’ online contest organised by Delhi-based Talent Tattoo Private Ltd. My best wishes for him in the future.

Snehasis Patra
Mr. Snehasis Patra of IMTH-9th Semester has been selected to join EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland for six months starting Feb 2015 with a possibility that he can continue for PhD.
Sarita Kushwaha
Miss. Sarita Kushwaha has successfully qualified CSIR-NET JUNE 2014 with 29th rank. In This year she also qualified ARS-NET & GATE-XL.
Mr. Purusottam Mohapatra for his PhD completion. He worked on Cancer Biology and his thesis was entitled “Study the mechanism of anticancer potentiality of bioactive compound Resveratrol in cigarette smoke condensate transformed breast epithelial cells”. During his PhD tenure, he earned 17 publications with 1 patent. He was awarded as the “Best PhD Scholar of KIIT” and he also received two grants for attending International Meetings in Switzerland and Germany. He also successfully bagged a Post Doctoral Fellowship Position at University of Lund, Sweden.
