About School of Biotechnology

With its foundation stone laid by Prof. Richard R. Ernst (Nobel Laureate, 1991) & inaugurated by Prof. Hans Hengartner, Noted immunologist & Prof. Rolf Zinkernagel (Nobel Laureate 1996), School of Biotechnology heralds a new era of science with a broad vision in the state of Odisha, India.

The state-of-the-art facilities of the School include adequate number of air conditioned classrooms, laboratories, conference hall, reading rooms and round the clock Library with Journals, e-resources, multilingual news papers, divergent magazines and around 15000 books. The digital library has access to a large number of databases related to interdisciplinary subjects including the core subjects of science and technology.

KSBT is channeling its collective energies into solving large-scale problems. The Design lab of KSBT will help to achieve the vision of Translational Research and Operational Excellence by working across boundaries to centralize and standardize process management and process improvement efforts, increasing efficiencies, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement.

The design centre is aimed at providing engineers, designers and those in related fields, the skills and knowledge to become elite innovators.

Capacity-building activities are aimed at enhancing human resources and strengthening institution-building for regional integration in developing countries.
