Gulab Chand Arya
Assistant Professor
Dr. Gulab Chand Arya is a plant molecular biologist specializing in plant-pathogen interactions. His Ph.D. research focused on G-protein subunits in Brassica juncea, revealing their role in development and disease resistance. Currently working as Ramalingaswami Re-entry fellow, he investigates how fungal pathogens invade plant surface using different enzymes. His work highlights the role of cutinases and ligno-suberized periderm in plant defense. Dr. Arya also explores the industrial potential of microbial enzymes and plant secondary metabolites. He is passionate about translational research linking molecular biology with agricultural and industrial innovation.
