Dr. Bhawna Gupta

Dr. Bhawna Gupta earned her Ph.D. from IGIB and the Dept of Zoology, University of Delhi. During her postdoctoral research at the Centre for Biotechnology, Turku, Finland, she studied CD4⁺ T cells in immune regulation. At CHUV, Switzerland, she investigated CD8⁺ T cells in melanoma, and later at the University of Lausanne, she explored the role of dendritic cells in immune activation. With expertise in immunology and translational medicine she has remarkable credentials and is currently Associate Professor and Associate Dean (Student Affairs) at the School of Biotechnology, KIIT University. Her lab focuses on immune homeostasis and the mechanisms underlying autoimmune diseases (RA, SLE) and infectious diseases such as tuberculosis.
