Dr. Tapan Kumar Adhya
Professor
Using tropical paddy as the model ecosystem, the entire focus of research by Prof. Adhya is on sustainable management of resource poor tropical soils to maintain high productivity with minimum environmental impactwith a focus on microbiological solutions. He has contributed to India’s first NATCOM on GHG and invited as Expert Reviewer of the First Order Draft of the 2006 IPCC Inventory guidelines, and the IPCC First Order Draft of the 2012 IPCC Inventory Guidelines for Wetlands by WMO/UNEP.
