Dr. Lopamudra Ray

Associate Professor I

Dr. Lopamudra Ray is an Associate Professor at the School of Biotechnology, KIIT Deemed to be University, with expertise in Environmental and Industrial Microbiology. Her research focuses on the genome-guided discovery of Streptomyces for industrial enzymes, microbial bioformulations, chitin and chitosan bioconversion, plant growth-promoting microorganisms, and sustainable agriculture. She integrates microbiology, microbial genomics, and biotechnology to develop eco-friendly solutions for industrial and environmental applications. She has secured research funding from DBT, MoES, MoEFCC, and ICSSR, has published over 50 peer-reviewed articles, and actively mentors postgraduate and doctoral researchers.
