Biography and academic profile
Dr. Luna Goswami has received her PhD degree from Max Planck Institute of Colloids & Interfaces, Department of Biomaterials (Degree awarded from Humboldt University, Department of Organic & Bio-Organic Chemistry, Berlin) Potsdam, Germany. She did B.Sc., B.Tech, and M.Tech from Calcutta University. In her PhD work she has mainly characterized enzymatic degradation of lignicellulosics. Currently her research interest is mainly focused on synthesis and characterization of several new polysaccharide based biomaterials (such as hydrogels, nanocomposites etc) and aim to apply these materials for biomedical applications particularly on bone and skin tissue engineering ,drug encapsulation and sustained release. She is the recipient of several Government funded projects from ICMR, SERB, DBT-BIRAC, ANRF etc. She is also engaged with many international journals as an active reviewer. She has published several articles in reputed International journals and filed several patents.
