Biography and academic profile

Dr. Snehasish Mishra, Associate Professor, PhD (Life Sciences), of the School of Biotechnology, KIIT Deemed University has research exposure in the areas of microbiology, biotechnology, limnology, environmental biotechnology, renewable energy, bioprocess engineering and food sciences. He has more than two decades of research experience, including international exposure. He has been heading the Govt. of India sponsored MNRE’s Biogas Development and Training Centre, since 2009-2010. With two years industry experience and 14 years academic experience, he has significantly contributed in research, development and extension of waste management, aquaculture, bioenergy, environmental sciences. He has authored research and popular articles, and book chapters, with more than 50 publications in peer reviewed journals and books of national and international repute. He is regularly involved from time-to-time in the short-term trainings funded by DST, DBT and MSME for skill-development and livelihoods of the farming community through biotechnological interventions. He is a reviewer and editorial member with a number of research journals. He has also been an active participant in biotech entrepreneurship and industry-academia interface. For his continued contribution to the cause of science he has received several accolades and recognition from academies, societies and associations. He has successfully guided, and continues to guide, numerous PhDs and MPhils, MTechs and MScs.
